We are very excited for YO YO YO, a new hip hop party at Bright'n Up Bar starting this Saturday, May 1. With Bad Ezzy, Joyride, and Stolen Records supremo's Donny Trump and Shantan Wantan Ichiban pumping out the tunes it's sure to be the best way to spend your Saturday night.

ADULT DISCO

The legends at FUTURE CLASSIC are launching a new weekly party at the CIVIC aptly called ADULT DISCO, and as such we can only assume that it is going to be a sophisticated affair.

This weekly party monster launches on Saturday May 1 with the FUTURE CLASSIC DJ's jumping behind the decks. There are promises of international and interstate guests to follow in the coming weeks. We are oh so very excited!

BECK & FRIENDS COVER INXS

So Beck has a Record Club in which various musicians get together and record an album in a day. The songs are reinterpreted and there are no rehearsals. This time round the album given the Record Club treatment is the INXS classic 'KICK'.

Joining Beck on this musical merry - go - round are the Liars, Annie Clark and Daniel Hart from St. Vincent, Sergio Dias from Os Mutantes, as well as Brian Lebarton.

The good folks at Picnic, Niche Productions and Dan Cares are holding another party this time with Maurice Fulton at the helm. For those that don't know, Fulton has produced albums for Kathy Diamond, Mu and remixed Annie, Hot Chip, Chicken Lips, !!! and The Rapture.

Local support on the night comes from the Loin Brothers, Kali, Dan Cares and Mirror Mirror.

DEATH STROBE RECORDS LAUNCH PARTY

Yes cats and kittens, Death Strobe Records is officially beginning its hostile takeover of the music world with a fabulous disco party at IGUANA BAR in KINGS CROSS tomorrow night!

First signing Domeyko/Gonzalez will be coming along with their bizarre arsenal of instruments, exhibiting their gorgeous sound designs and infectious beats that will stretch your brain. On either side will be the fresh prince of discoteca Dangerous Dan, the lovely Le Sister and the Death Strobe seizure jockeys playing impossibly addictive disco and other top-shelf tunes. Expect exciting guests to be hitting the decks and winds to be blowing slowly.
